The detector archive

The ILC will have two detectors in a push-pull configuration, meaning that one detector is in the beam while the other can be serviced and calibrated and vice versa. At the end of March 2009 three Letters of Intent by three different detector concept groups were submitted. At the time of publication of the ILC NewsLine LOI special they are being evaluated. The final two detectors will probably be a mixture of the detector concepts which will be validated in autumn 2009.
